From the Factor O2 Pro bikes to cable housing, the mechanic’s truck is a cyclist’s paradise of parts and tools, ready to equip the Grand Tour team AG2R La Mondiale with the best set ups for all of their racing stages. As a mobile workshop, the truck must house the spares, and the expertise necessary to keep the team’s Factor bikes running smoothly for the race ahead.

Not to be underestimated, the soigneurs also have a crucial job in keeping the teams performing at their best. Truck provisions include laundry facilities and a pantry for fuelling riders before and after stages as well as keeping their kit fresh for each stage.

  1. I'm surprised they have random stuff like coca cola on board. That seems like pure trash that you wouldn't want to be ingesting while racing, or ever really

  2. I suspect that a lot of teams put ultegra or other down-specced parts on their bikes, not to save money, but to add weight. If the bike is below the 6.8kg mark, then why add weights, when you could just use slightly cheaper (and heavier) components?

  3. @gcn you forgot to talk about the alcohol in that last drawer, before the fridge… the riders probably need that in their bidons before the tough climbs!! 😬 that J&B whisky should do the trick! 😜

  4. Dan must have had a few mineral waters before this video, I can ignore him not knowing what a multimeter is, but getting his chainkeepers wrong? It wasn't a Park chainkeeper it was a Morgan Blue!

  5. 4.26 – the all important tubular glue

    Except their stock is of the older version for aluminium rims, not the version designed for carbon rims that comes in the black tin. The carbon version is designed to withstand higher temperatures generated under braking on carbon rims, so not sure why they would be still using the old version. Well, I suppose for the same reason that I do, the old version takes longer to set so is easier to mount the tyres.
